Trivia and References

  • The sub-title "To kill or not to kill" is a subtle reference to a decision made by the Dragonborn in Skyrim on whether or not to kill the ancient dragon Paarthurnax
  • The sub-title is also a play on William Shakespeare's "Hamlet". Specifically, the opening soliloquy of Act III, scene I. "To be, or not to be, that is the question: Whether 'tis nobler in the mind to suffer"
  • Despite its name, the Ancient Dragon has no canonical connections to the Ancients
  • Before the 2nd Edition, the Ancient Dragon was the strongest Dragon in the game. It is currently tied for 3rd strongest with the Red Dragon.
