- The subtitle "He slimed me!" refers to the 1984 film, Ghostbusters and the scene where Peter Venkman gets slimed by the ghost appropriately named, Slimer.
- The move Katamari is a reference to the game Katamari Damacy, and the object that the player rolls around that collects any objects it comes in contact with. It is also named the Katamari.
- The Green Slime and Green Dragon both have abilities that steal items from players.
